Dorado Introduces New Business Continuity Services

New Service Options Protect Customer Systems, Mitigate Risk of Business Disruption

San Mateo, Calif.—October 13, 2004—Dorado Corporation, the leader in mission-critical, on-demand solutions for home lending, today announced a suite of Business Continuity services designed to protect Dorado solutions and their business processes from natural disasters or other unplanned catastrophic events. The suite of new services allows customers to select a solution that meets their objectives for service recovery in the event of a disaster. Dorado’s Business Continuity solutions relieve customers from the complexities and risk of having to rely on internal resources to protect mission-critical software applications.

“Dorado solutions are mission-critical to our customers’ mortgage operations,” said Dain Ehring, CEO, Dorado. “This means that they have to be available at all times, even in a crisis situation. Dorado has been building, deploying and managing mission-critical solutions for the mortgage lending industry for years. Going beyond that, now we are offering Business Continuity services to ensure that those solutions remain available should the unthinkable disaster occur.”

Dorado’s Business Continuity services provide a standby environment that offers the following features:

  • A robust design to ensure system support can accommodate complex, highly integrated software applications
  • A geographically diverse, SAS 70-attested, production-quality data center
  • Continuous monitoring of the customer infrastructure, network, and processing platforms
  • Recovery activities, including service testing and reporting

Customers can choose from three types of standby options based on their needs and own internal cost/benefit analysis:

  • Premium—Dorado’s “hot standby” Business Continuity service, providing the most immediate failover to the standby solution, with business recovery measured in minutes. This solution is appropriate for mission-critical applications where even a few minutes of downtime could mean significant loss of revenue or customer goodwill.
  • Extended —Middle-tier option providing “warm standby” business recovery in a matter of a few hours.
  • Standard — Minimum protection providing “cold standby” systems recovery within 72 hours.

Dorado’s Business Continuity services provide the skilled professionals, proven methodology, and intimate knowledge of a customer’s applications and integrations to minimize the risk of business interruption if system disruption cannot be avoided.
