Business Analyst
The successful candidate will bring their in-depth knowledge of the residential mortgage lending industry to the requirements, analysis, and design phases of our client projects. They will lead clients though these phases, clearly mapping requirements to our product feature set and identifying and detailing areas where product customization is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive and participate in requirements analysis and design sessions
- Carry out end-to-end business analysis - map client requirements to the features in our software product set
- Produce formal, written system requirements documents including process, workflow, dataflow diagrams and use cases - follow existing documentation standards
- Work closely with Project Manager to manage client expectations with regard to budget and schedule
Other Responsibilities
- Train customer in product feature set
- Work with QA team to develop and review test plans
Required Skills and Attributes
- At least 5 years experience in the financial industry (mortgage preferred)
- Detailed understanding of the system development lifecycle
- Demonstrated requirements analysis and business process definition skills along with outstanding documentation skills
- Performed as lead business analyst on at least 2 large-scale complex system implementations
- A proven ability to communicate with both business and technical professionals
- Experience developing successful relationships with customer staff and management in a consulting capacity
- Some hands-on software development experience (preferred)
